Hi all,
I am working on LADSPA support in Jokosher and we want Jokosher to
depend on particular plug-ins in different parts of the application.
Specifically, I would like to see a powerful compressor and equalizer
as part of the application.
So, my question to you all is which compressor and equalizer do we
depend on? Importantly, the chosen plug-ins need to exhibit the
following qualities:
* packages for all major distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat,
Fedora, Gentoo, SuSE etc.)
* well maintained
* very high quality audio quality

You should not depend on particular plugins, if the app could work
without just fine. Hasn't Debian a 'Recommends' thing going for
things like this?

The SWH collection from our plugin grandmaster Steve contains the
only compressor LADSPAs with sidechain input. I'm pretty sure
there's EQing stuff in there, too.

Doesn't JAMin need the SWH Plugins for it's equalizer and stuff?
Therefore it seems as if it's "dependent" on these plugins.
So it shouldn't be a problem for Jokosher to take the same approach.

Hi all,
The point of depending on certain plug-ins is so we can guarantee
certain functionality, namely compression and EQ. It will of course
allow additional LADSPA plug-in to be installed and used. :)

Sure. It's better than code duplication in my opinion.
