JACK 0.117.0 is out. Please see the website http://jackaudio.org/ for
all the details. Many improvements in netjack1 performance, and jack
now runs in realtime mode by default.

I never looked at it, but is netjack built into jack now?

I'd consider a build-time feature (i.e as long as you have libsamplerate it
will compile with netjack driver) "built-in", so yes it was and is.

since 0.116.0... yes.
and jack2 has the netjack1 port merged in svn.
regarding the 0.116.x series:
however there was a bug with deadline management. resulting in
some "oddities" in some condition, which was fixed lately.
the alsa_io tools in 0.116.2 were a joke compared to the current
implementation.
