I had to bundle up libraptor with the LADSPA specific stuff for complicated
reasons, so the auto* stuff is nasty. It builds OK on my RedHat and
RedHat+Planet CCRMA machines though.
There are no docs yet, but there are some fairly clean exmaples in the
examples direcory.
The API and subclass heirachy of plugins is far from fixed, so tell me
what you think.

Wow, sorry, that was complely imcoprehensible. I was pretty tired when I
wrote it.
liblrdf is my RDF parsing library, that provides LADSPA specific
functions, eg. showing the tree of plugin types and defualts.
It depends on libxml, in theory it should work with expat too, but it
doesn't. It is not (yet) thread safe.
examples/showtaxonomy.c and examples/showdefaults.c show how to use it.
At the moment the exmaple programs only read certain RDF files in ./
(included), so if we want to take this approach we need to decide where
LADSPA RDF files will be installed, e.g. /usr/(local/)share/ladspa/ ?
I will ship RDF with the next version of my plugins unless prevented and
can provide some for CMT.

New subject: [linux-audio-dev] testing LADSPA plugins
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on the best way to test/debug some
LADSPA plugins that I've written (using the cmt framework). There is
applyplugin but it can't test plugins that only output control signals (I'm
currently using SSM to test these but it's a bit cumbersome), and I'd also
like to be able to test run_adding.
I was thinking of writing my own toy host to do this, but it looks like a
fair amount of work, so if anyone knows of a host that definately uses
run_adding please let me know.

I'l gladly help though, I've been meaning to write a test harness
plugin host for months. I was going to feed in lost of out-of-range data
and unusual things to check for segfauls and consistent CPU use (if the
plugin claims to be HARD_RT_CAPABLE).
I have a modified version of applyplugin that reports CPU use if you want
that.
