They may behave differently.
Ah, my mistake. Yes, the pre-compiled binary is linked against
libpangocairo and libglitz, etc. The on-demand compiled version is
not. It works fine on my FC5 box. Very cool!
Anyway,
don't spend any time on it on my behalf; I was just curious
about how it could produce working binaries.
I'd rather install faust and build things myself anyway...
That's a
solution, but the whole idea is not to have to, at least to try...
