Hi.
I am Paul, the author of ZynAddSubFX software
synthesizer.
I wrote a complete documentation of how the PADsynth
synthesis algorithm works. It includes the full
description of the algorithm: overview, text
description, diagrams, pseudocode; example C/C++
implementations and a ready-to-use C++ class.
Also, I included some audio examples into the page.
Please tell me your opinion about it.
I tried to make it to be easy understood and ready to
be implemented and/or used into your software
synthesizers. Everything (the algorithm, the examples,
the implementations, diagrams,etc) from this page are
released under Public Domain. You are welcome to
include and use this into your programs and I invite
the companies/developers who write software
synthesizers to use it. Also, I guess that the sound
banks producers will be very interesed about this ;)
I don't require anything for using it ;-) ; I just
want this to be spread, to be used to make beautiful
sounds.

New subject: [linux-audio-dev] making kjaaa outof jaaa,some help needed.
heyho!
i am trying to recode an x-app , jaaa, a analyzation tool for alsa and
jack, for kde. kjaaa so to say. but as this is my first windowed proggi
i was wondering about the handling of events. it seems that my raw x-app
has in its "importantwindow.cpp" all funktions needed to handle X-send
events. but i want to use those that come with the q-designer ui`s-that
would be soo cool =). so well i thought kde just has all this coded
in,so i can just use all those widget funktions doing the eventhandling???

If it is your first Qt/KDE/graphical-programming experience, please
don't start with an app like jaaa (*) where the author is not so well
with speaking about other gui-systems (afaik).

(*) I would like to see jaaa/japa/aeolus get an even nicer gui! But
the current one works and doesn't look ugly, so...

verhindern könnte, würde ich mir noch heute einen Stapel Brenner und
einen Sack Rohlinge kaufen.

Since it's GPLed, he can do this. I just will not support it :-)

New versions of Jaaa and Aeolus are in the works. You can have a look at
the new Aeolus look on my website - it hasn't changed very much, just a
bit more color and anti-aliased fonts (but the code itself is almost a
complete rewrite). The latest release of JAPA already uses Xft (with an
early version of the widget lib, it still has some problems).

As the author of JAAA, I have two remarks. First, JAAA works perfectly
well under KDE AFAIK, so I wonder what's the point. Anyway, applications
designed for a particular desktop, be it KDE, Gnome or whatever, are
IMHO just broken. Second, the version you are working with will be
replaced by a completely new one in a month or two.

hm...well,JAAA didnt work for me-which is quite obvious the reason why i
started porting it.that simple. but if a new version is about to come
out i ,of course,dont want to interferre with the plans of the maker of
JAAA.
maybe that new version will run... as mr. adriansen is around anyway
maybe he could give me a hint what i might that JAAA wont show up any
window,or error regarding this? jaaa could make a lot of things easy
for me,so i am quite desperate getting it to work. ah... to bad that all
the work was pointless-thought,looking at the last release date of
jaaa,itll be sure dead. well,nevermind - maybe there is help needed for
the "original" jaaa?

fluxbox. Since lesser( 'KDE3.2', 'fons' first apps' );
And I don't think its the best solution for a prob if you try to
rewrite the app. At least that hasn't ever work for me...

(or if you do, make sure that your email client doesn't add the
In-Reply-To or References tags). It's very confusing to see completely
unrelated threads start in an existing thread, and it can also cause
people to miss your messages.
