Hello,
I have hardware which I wan to connect to my computer and one of the
things is a SIMPEL Audio-Codec (ONLY THE CHIP) which can connet directly
to the computers USB2.0 Port.
I was searchin the net but have not found the right Chips.
It need only:
1) 100% native ALSA/Linux support
2) One Mono Line-In (Stereo is acceptable too)
3) One Mono Line-Out (Stereo is acceptable too)
4) Volume control
5) Muting
6) absolutely Low-Cost (prefered under 3.00 US$/pcs @1000)
Can anyone recommend Manufacturers and Chips?
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

Hi,
Here's a report from the first ever fight Pd vs. Max/MSP from one of
the contestants.
I knew, David and Dafydd would do it!
Ciao

Subject: Re: [PD] Pd/MAX grudge match in Toronto next Thursday
Hi folks
So the event was a success - lots of fun, good-natured competition,
beer and general nonsense.
Pd won 9-6, but several people pointed out that since there was only
one person on the MAX team and two on Pd, maybe the score should have
been 6-4.5 in MAX's favour. Before the final Pong match the score was
4-2 for Pd. We then won Pong 5-4 and added the scores together.
Pd crashed once during the final challenge (building Pong, which
neither team actually ended up doing - we both used the versions we'd
built previously as we were running out of time). David composed a
scathing error report to Apple. MAX forfeited on one challenge (make
Nohands dance), also for time reasons.
One really interesting thing is that both our host, Misha Glouberman
and one blogger, Jordan, neither of whom had had any experience with
patching, seemed to come away with the impression that Pd is much
easier and more efficient to use than MAX.

We're already thinking of ways we could do it better next time and of
variations on the theme.

I've found a bunch of how-tos on using a Wiimote as a mouse, but can't find
anything Linux specific on turning all of those movements into MIDI notes -
Any experience with this or any other Wiimote > Music applications out
there?

Hey!
Good news!!
I finished a CD of my music!
Here the details, just download and listen to it :)
http://marcospcmusica.wordpress.com/2008/08/03/amigaos-un-disco-de-musica-l…http://e3.ututo.org/users/musix/CDs/Amigaos/
“Be Friends” (”Amigaos”) is a compilation of music composed and
recorded on my own and / or with friends, during the past two years.
With this record I attempt to recover the vision of “group of songs
with some consistency and order”.
I love the Internet, free thought and free software… to do what we
want it’s a part of that, and I wanted to make a disc.
I thank the friends who encouraged me… the disc is for them and I hope
you enjoy it as far as possible ;-)
Some details:
“Dear Eda”, “Al Charly” and “Azor” are compositions from Mariana;
Borges is a song from Carla; I participated in all of them playing an
instrument and recording.
“Radio” is a spot we did with Mauro, Heaven, Carla, Adrian for “Futura
FM”, music is from Mauro and Sky (Cielo).
The rest of the songs: I wrote them and recorded by myself.
All the music was recorded with the Musix GNU/Linux free software,
using Ardour, Rosegarden, Hydrogen, ZynAddSubFX, Hexter, Audacity,
Qsynth and many other incredible programs.
All songs licensed under copyleft free licenses
Copyleft means that anyone who redistributes the software, with or
without changes, can not restrict anyone to copy, redistribute it or
change it. Copyleft guarantees that the user must have their freedom.

apps.linuxaudio.org is the right place for this.
It would probably be better to fix/use that page instead
of creating a new.
guitarix is a simple mono amplifier to jack (JackAudioConnektionKit) with one
input and two output's. Designed to get nice trash/metall/rock/guitar sounds.
Avaliable are the controls for bass, treble, gain, balance, distortion,
freeverb, impulse response (pre state), crybaby(wah),
feedback/feedforward-filter and echo . A fixed resonator will use, when
distortion is disabled.
guitarix based on Gtk, a great part is also realesed as ladspa plugin.
guitarix is licensed under GPL

For capture guitarix make use of jack_capture from Kjetil S. Matheussen. If
you dont have it installed, look here:

I use faust to build the prototype and will say thanks to

Hi,
First: I have changed my email adress a while ago and I try to use this
emailadress instead of schoappied now. My real name in real life is Dirk.
Can someone tell me if there is difference between F7 and Fmaj7, what is
that difference theoretical spoken?
Thanks,
Hi,
I'm using my bassguitar without an amp. I use a dmp 3 preamp and my
maudio audiophile 24/96. How can I make my bassguitar sounds good this
way? Is there software which can make the sound better and how?
Thanks in advance,
Hi Folks
Does anyone know of a software version of the Roland PG-800 that runs or
can be compiled to run on Linux? I may be using the wrong search terms,
but Google isn't coming up with the goods.
I'm pretty sure that I had something like this on my old Atari.
Cheers
M
