Hi everybody,
Some new songs I have to consider finished.
The new ones are Bränn alla dårar (Burn all fools) and Kliva av (climb
off), both in swedish and of course made with Linux.

Hi everybody,
after my departure from Kubistudio (now it's just a rehersing room) i've
created a new professional free software/open source recording studio in
Milan, the name is T.Rex Studio.
We are still working on it but some information and pictures can be found
here:
http://www.trexstudio.com
Moreover I'd like to share my happiness with you all because just few days
ago a very special guest came here: Mr. Ben Harper.
Here is a nice picture of T.Rex staff with Ben Harper.

From the "Better Late than Never Dept"...
Announcing the _*Linux Audio Musicians Best of 2010 mix*_
Download and view the full playlist of 116 tracks here:

Listen to the continuous radio stream here:

****************************************************************************
Congratulations!!! to the Artists and Bands that made 2010 a bumper year
for well produced and unique music from the Linux Audio Community. This
mix is the biggest yet with over 100 tracks included and over 12 hours
of music to listen to. A hefty selection of guitar music and rock
productions are included in this years mix to complement the large range
of electronica. The variation of styles and genres is superb and as
expected there was lots of off the wall and challenging music produced
during the 2010 period also.
The playlist has been ordered in terms of Genre/Style to make it easier
to separate the tracks out for those with specific tastes and to ensure
the radio stream flows nicely.
If you feel that there is a track missing please feel free to contact me
with details. This is a snapshot of the year so lets make it as complete
as possible.
Enjoy!

Boost Hardware Ltd.
Hi all,
Is there a software out there that reads any file on the computer as a
raw byte stream, and then converts this to an audio file. This can be
really random if you open a unrelated file, but since a C program can
read any data as pure bytes, I was thinking if this was already done
by someone.
Cheers
Bernardo
Hya,
I've just brought jack-stdout up to scratch.
jack-stdout captures audio from one or more JACK audio-ports and writes
raw data to standard-output.
It can write signed/unsigned 16/24bit integer and 32bit floating-point
data, both big/little endian.
* http://rg42.org/oss/jackstdout/
* git://rg42.org/jack-stdout
example usage - live stream from JACK:
jack-stdout system:capture_1 system:capture_2 \
| oggenc -r -R 48000 -B 16 -C 2 - \
| tee /tmp/recording.ogg \
| oggfwd -p -n "my live stream" localhost 5900 hackme live.ogg
have fun,
robin
greetings!
just wondering if anyone here has used the Keith McMillen SoftStep controller on linux. i believe it's a class-compliant USB device, so it should work fine just connected via USB. failing that, there's a MIDI expander which provides standard MIDI I/O.
there's also some software for programming the device -- it's Win and OSX, so i'm hoping it'll run under Wine.
here's some info about SoftStep:

any comments?...
thanks much..... cheers!
