Hello all,
I forgot to post this here before I went live: I participated in another
2 Hour Album Challenge <https://2hac.abstractionmusic.com/> today.
Follow the link if you are interested in participating, there is still
about 22 hours left to make a track. There aren't many Linux users, so
it is fun to represent what you can do on a different kind of system. It
involves live streaming your workflow and making a track in two hours.
The album sales get donated for charity to save kittens
<http://www.aohrescue.org/>.
I tried again to make a track using common music/incudine/lisp
(cm-incudine) as my note generator/sequencer, and renoise as my rack of
instruments. This time, I experimented with sequencing the track with
incudine's AT function.
Feel free to watch and let me know what you think:

Hey hey,
I am sorry if this seems very off-topic. But I thought that there might be
performers here who could be experienced with this.
A friend of mine is looking for a simple way to track herself with a camera
for lessons. I have seen that there are gadgets which can recognise a face and
so track a person with a camera. Having no experience with that, at all,
myself, I thought it best to find knowledgeable advice.
I think she will use a mac environment. I don't know how many things - you
might know about - are cross platform or stand alone, though a Raspberry Pi in
support of her work could be quite feasible.
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Hey hey,
this latest track got started by sound design and Yoshimi, which is why it
proudly takes centre stage:

Direct OGG download:

Yoshimi: three choirs created from vocal samples with the assitence of Csound,
synth pluck, strings and one of the sound effects.
LinuxSampler: Mellotron choir and drum samples created from analogue outboard
synths
Further basses, snare drum layer, lead and sound effects: Arturia MiniBrute 2s
and Behringer Neutron
Lots of heavy processing and mixing in Nama.
Enjoy and feel free to comment. :)
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Hey hey,
firstly, I know that this is provided by many vocoder plugins, but due to the
audio routing in my DAW this is not really feasible.
Do you know of a dedicated plugin (preferrably LADSPA) that provides a
resonant filterbank, fixed or not?
Best wishes and TIA,
Jeanette
