A/V Synchronization issues with Firefox and JACK

Hi, I recently noticed that, when watching videos with Firefox in a JACK-only environment (no pulseaudio, usually), video and audio slowly but noticeably run out of sync over the course of 20min or so. Not sure when it started, but it didn't use to be like that before. I'm on Arch, FF compiled with JACK support (not using alsa2jack plugin). I'm running JACK at 44.1khz, blocksize 512. With pulseaudio, there's no such issues ... Anybody experiencing similar issues ? Best, Niklas

Studio Controls 2.2 Released

Lenovo T15, JACK audio is distorted

Hi all, I've recently bought a new laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad T15 Gen 1 and I am stuck in running jackaudio server on internal soundcard. - pulseaudio works (without jack) - external soundcard with jackd works - when I run jackd on internal soundcard, everything look good (jackd is started, log looks normally, patch graph in Claudia looks good, pulseaudio to jack works (e.g. youtube videos had sound..), but when I run for example mpv, or supercollider, the sound is heavily distorted. ) Does anybody know where the problem is? Why is Jack so slow?

Friends I have a Raspberry PI with a PI Sound board. Wanting to use modep (https://blokas.io/modep/) live I have hacked a pedal together and can change settings with it. modep is a gnarly ball of python and tomahawk (sp?) that I do not need so I have stripped down the actions the pedal needs to do to eight Jack operations: disconnect the left and right output and input, and reconnect them in a different way to affect an effect change. I have written a small rust programme with the jack crate to interface with Jack. Four disconnects, four connects. It takes over 200ms of system time, optimised rust. Two hundred milliseconds is a long time. Can anybody tell me why? Is there a solution? I am hoping to get it down to ten milliseconds. Worik -- If not me then who? If not now then when? Please Examin this CNN Audio

OK, thanks to Gerhard for suggesting I upload a sample. What you will hear in this 19mb file. First 2minutes are commercials which sound fine, next several minutes of CNN coverage of an Impeachment trial preview. Full of jerky glitches. After that, back to good sounding commercials, and lastly again several seconds of glitchy CNN.
