Hmm I just got the UGreen adapter as well, seems to work fine, but to be honest I only got
it because the headphone jack on my device is broken.
For what you describe, wouldn't the internal soundcard be sufficient ?

dimensions 18,3 x 14 x 3,6 cm according to Amazon.
