Assumed pulseaudio is installed and running, disable it. I don't know if killall will do the job. Some subscribers might recommend to use pulseaudio with jackd, but do yourself a favour and drop pulseaudio. Another issue is duplex mode. In the above tests jackd is set up for playback only.
