But they cannot read the CDs.
these files are usually more or less plain mpeg-1 or mpeg-2,
although the disc format is different.
i think most video players should have no problems.
Certainly mplayer works (http://mplayerhq.hu)
you could also look at cdxa2mpeg, vcdimager, vcdrip
