Hi,
I've a qnap nas server (with Debian installed) and I like to play music
(and video) from that server on my n900, laptop etc.
What is the best way to do this?

For videos (and may be musics) you can use serviio.
But for music purpose only I prefer using mt-daapd (firefly) so I can
access my music library from rhythmbox via network.
Serviio and firefly can coexist.
