"USB disconnect" typically is a hardware problem (controller/cable/
power), but in this case, this sounds like a power management bug in
the device's firmware.
Many MIDI devices have similar bugs, so automatic PM was disabled ...
My OS is a Linux pc 3.2.0-45-generic-pae #70-Ubuntu
... in version 3.2.0-47.
