I did some reading on some of the places pointed
to in this thread. I
need a couple of spot mics for live recording of a large group I'm
recording in a few weeks. I ran across a number of good things said
about the Marshall Electronics MXLV67G

The price looks about right. Any experience with these? Marshall seems a
bit strange though. Just cannot find a web site, so I wonder about
support if needed.

Rumor has it that support is pretty responsive, or at least was
last time i asked a couple years ago. I've never needed to call
them myself.
I'll probably pick up one or two of the V67 myself one of these days.
I don't have it currently, I have the MXL 1006 which is okay but
to my ears it has a pretty harsh top end and by most accounts the V67G
is significantly better than most of the other MXL mics
(the other oft-reported winner is the 603).
