What version are you using? I'm on 2.8 and
the mixer is a completely separate window
from the track window.
I'm using 2.7.something.
When I do View - Editor Mixer, it just 'scoots' the main window and
places a single mixer strip on the left side of the main view.
(Does this make sense? Words are failing me today...)
