qjackctl has no Hive in sight (using 'a2j_control ehw start') so the
only MIDI input routing is from Ardour where this MIDI track shows the
USB ProKeys 88 all right, which is selected as input. Still, no
triggering of Hive from the external keyboard.
No need to be too reserved. Something like 'have you at least thought
of pressing the MIDI track's input button ?' would have made it :)
Ardour Truths For Grasshopper: You Have to Press the Input Button of
the MIDI Track For Any Note To Reach The Plugin Synthesizer.
Now all plugin synths have sound in Ardour. It was actually a question
of MIDI notes not reaching the synth, but not a bug. At least of the
technical kind. All knobs of the Launchkey Mini can be quickly
assigned to a plugin synth also, of course. Which is not the case, for
some reason, when launching a same synth using 'carla-single vst'. But
that's something else to pursue.
