Thanks for the replies. I tried mplayer and I get
video but no
audio. I downloaded Quicktime6 DLL's from the url
above, but I
can't see any installation docs. Any hints?
The basic idea is to install mplayer's win32 codecs,
then grab the qtime "dll's" (in the tarball
"qt6dlls.tar.bz2") and simply copy them into codecs
directory (usually /usr/lib/win32 or
/usr/local/lib/win32, depending on the package type).
I have also found rpm's of everything if you are on a
redhat/mandrake/suse box:
mplayer-codecs-win32-1.0-2.i386.rpm
mplayer-codecs-win32-qt-6.0-2.i386.rpm
mplayer-codecs-win32-qtextras-1.0-2.i386.rpm
...and would be happy to pass them along if you can't
find them yourself.
