you probably need the 1394dv driver. I don't remember what it's called
but it implements the digital video stack. you can find info on the
linux-1394 web site. most likely you'll load it and be in good shape
as long as your camera is fairly standard.

But Kino cant find the camera, although there is a little indicator in
