You could also try purchasing an SBLive! for
really cheap just to use
the midi interface. You'd need one of the joystick->midi converters also
(which seem to be fairly widely available).
They are unbelievely bad MIDI interfaces. Some time ago I had to
deactivate aftertouch on my master keyboard so the interface won't get
clobbered by so many MIDI messages.
Maybe a driver issue, of course!
