don't know if it's the same problem, but I couldn't build it here, too (Arch
Linux). I had to use the dev version:

cannot be built.
The acinclude.m4 file says that the driver depends on CONFIG_BITREVERSE,
which is set in the running kernel's config.
Not sure where to go from here...
