The tape delay is exactly what I've been looking for. It doesn't sound
digital to me. I actually had two vocals recorded for one session, one
through a tube mic preamp and the other direct in. I was using the pre
to get a warmer sound on the vocal but I switched back to the direct
track when I put the tape delay on it.

delay is a definite yes. So is SC4, at least I can't find anything

Cool. For things like the tape delay and SC's I'm interested in those
subtle sound quality issues as well as wether they noisily explode in your
face, which is also likly :)
There is especially a problem with many of them sounding too digital, at
one time I liked that, but I've gone off the sound. It grates.
