Before I'm accused of slinging FUD...
Still, if ABI compatibility isn't there, this
feels kind
of dangerous and could get very ugly.
The ABI compatablity issue came up with a rarely-used
feature of the Jack API.[1] Jack2 actually /does/ include
it, but for some reason it got lost when linked. It was
never noticed until Debian switch to Jack2 and found two
applications break.
It's really minor.
