That is just great!! Thanks a lot for resurrecting my favourite
Linux-Synth and good luck :-)
Now we proudly present the first release since 2004,
the version 1.8.8
RC1. Everything runs fine on our computers but we would like AMS users
to try this version and to report, maybe on the ams-user mailing list or
bug tracker at sourceforge, when something is broken or patches sound
suddenly different.
It failed to build on my Ubuntu 7.04 amd64 make aborted with several
errors from configdialog.cpp.
But thanks to Ken Revisto I installed the fresh Debian-Package without
any trouble and now the new AMS runs for some 4 h on my box :-)
There is no differnce noticable if I use the patches I made for the
older AMS - it works just fine :-)
It may be psychological but I think there are much less influences of
the GUI on the audio-engine. I tried to move some windows, modules etc
very fast/agressive under strong Systemload and did not hear any
crackles or dropouts anymore :-)
Thanks again - I look forward the official release.
a wishlist is OK?
1.) a way to add In/out connections to modules to make it possible to
work with 1-channel LADSPA plugins on a stereostream using one
synchronized set of controls. Or a way to bind controls of one module to
others (so, if I change "time" in feedbackdelay ID1, "time" in
feedbackdelay ID2 is changed as well).
