I found the origin, it was just that, on the new installation,
I had never properly quit yoshimi via selecting 'extit' from
the menu.
yoshimi writes ~/.yoshimiXML.cfg on exit,
~/.zynaddsubfxXML.cfg is just the fallback when starting[1].
