I want to move my hdsp to another IRQ, but can't
figure out howto, it is
a matter of firmware version on my Multiface card ? I can't move the
PCMCIA card since there is only one available slot....
Afaik most mainboards have hard-wired interrupts for the devices and the
slots.
So in a desktop-system moving devices in their slots is a way of changing
their interrupt.
With a laptop you are out of luck.
Then the only solution is to make sure that only one of the sharing devices is
used at a time. On my laptop fw and wifi are sharing and when I shut down the
network, I don't get problems with the firewire. Whereas on my big machine
one of the usb-ports is sharing with the graphics. Back when I used usb-audio
I figured which port it was and used that only for the mouse, not for
audio...
