More is always better, but jackd runs without
complaint alongside
Hydrogen, zynAddSubFX, and Ardour, on my system with 256. If you've got
a few extra dollars, putting some more memory in couldn't hurt things,
but 256 has been adequate for me :)
Me, too. I'd love to have 512MB, but JACK runs fine with 256MB.
About the only problem I experience is netscape or emacs getting
swapped out if I have a lot of realtime audio running. Nothing fails.
