So what should I do you think? I don't know all to much about Linux
but would the base versions have to do with my Nvidia graphics card
not working with the RT kernel?
That is a different issue. The binary nvidia kernel blob needs some glue
code to be rebuilt for each different kernel you install, how to do that
depends on how you installed the nvidia driver originally.
