right, but I got the symlinks made and all that. I
also had to remove the options "align-loops=4' and
'align-jumps=4', I get this error right off when they
are enabled:

so I disable them, it goes for a while and then this

This is a little frustrating, and I'm doing everything
on my PowerPC laptop, which isn't the best test
computer for setting this up, but hey it's what I got.
Well I hope someone has some idea, or I might have to
end up joining the csound-devel list.

I'm a bad influence...but you can also edit the
makefile to just AVOID compiling with the tcl/tk
stuff
(just delete the "-ltcl -ltk"). It's a little
kludgie, but many users suppress the tcl/tk
graphical
stuff with a flag anyways (-d).

I just got 4.22.6 from what you suggested, after
editing the makefile, I got it to start to
compile.
then I ran into
/usr/lib/ld: cannot find -ltcl
I can't figure out what package I need to provide
the
correct tcl libraries. I'm running debian with
tcl-8.4
and tcl-8.4-dev.
What am I missing here?
