Here it's Archlinux. A 'rolling release' distro which means
living on the edge and occasional frustration, but it's worth it.
Not a developer here, but using Debian testing (sometimes mixed with
unstable) wit the same reasons.
As alternative for Ubuntu Studio I would recommend Tango Studio or AVLinux.
