So patchbay is similar to the audio connections panel, but I can save the
"connections"? I'll have to look into that...
Does anyone have experience/examples of SilentJack alerts/commands then? I've got it
outputting to the console, just not sure how to get it to do x when silence happens.

If you have a rather static setup, and already use qjackctl, then you
can use its patchbay. It may be a bit painful to set up, but I guess
it's fairly automatic from there on.
Last question - Does anyone have any examples of
scripts to run after
SilentJack has detected silence? Obviously, I was thinking about an email
alert. I wasn't sure about the syntax needed though.
