You should at least use RAID6.
1. How does RAID6 differ from RAID5?
2. Is it actually possible to use software RAID or LVM mirroring with
AVLinux? I have not been able to find a way, short of installing to
non-RAID and converting the boot drive to RAID-1 using procedures I
found in a few places.
