Hmm ... playing with this some more tonight I hear
the zipper noise with
the controls on the ecasound -ea amplifier effect. The noise in the
"steady" state of the settup, i.e., no controller movement is different.
It's a seemingly random "glitchiness" in the audio. I'm in the process
of getting my webserver online. I'll have it running this weekend and
will post some example audio snippets to demonstrate what I'm hearing.
That
could be an effect of the instablity control, or it could e a bug, or
reatimeness problems.
Thinking about this more on the way into work this morning I
realised
what you suggest here regarding the instability control ... I had
arbitrarily set warm and instability to 1 in my ecasound settup.
I'll try it tonight when I get back with saner values.
changes to instability and warmth didn't affect the sound problems, so
it's looking more like realtimeness issues. I'll get ingo's patches
going here as soon as I can.
