Greetings,
A quick question: Is there any acceptable substitute for nVidia's
3D-capable chipsets ? I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone
who formerly used nVidia hardware and has switched to something of equal
performance capability, assuming there is such a thing. Also, I'm not
very interested in what's going to happen, I'm interested in what's
available now.
Phoronix.com is a great site for this sort of thing - they cover news and do benchmarks
for all the latest cards on Linux.
Nothing more to add - I'm still using a trusty Radeon 9200 (old) and before that I had
a Matrox Mystique (very old)...
