I continued to watch RAI radio 3 on jkmeter...
The second part of the BBC proms concert was
Mahler's 'Das Lied von der Erde' in which
you'd expect even more dynamics. But again
the softest parts were around -10 dB and
digital peak level never went above -9.5.
This was followed by a recording from the
Perugia Jazz Festival. RMS levels between
-3 and +3 dB, and again no peaks above
-9.5 dB.
Sort of indicates how RAI processes the
music it transmits...
