The "Enhanced RTC" driver is important because it's basically a
configurable
interrupt generator which is designed to be easily manipulated from
user-land. Many latency testing tools rely on it to measure "missed" ISRs
due to overlong periods where interrupts are disabled.
I suggest you compile it into your kernel STATICALLY, actually. You will
find it in the character devices section.
You will probably find the annoying dependency problems to disappear.
