it doesn't. but i have to say that since i first encountered it,
thanks to brian eno's noodlings on the cover of, hmm, can't recall,
but one of the earliest recordings on EG, i've always been struck at
what a big improvement it makes to an otherwise stereo setup.
Absolutely. I used the Hafler circuit for
18 years, and much preferred it to
two-speaker stereo. (I bought a used
Ambisonic decoder in 1996 or so, and now
much prefer that to the Hafler circuit.)
