What you are looking for then is a simple program that
just
about anyone get figure out and doesn't require a bunch of
interdependant programs to work right. Something simple
that may not be exactly best for someone with more
experience. You are looking for a program called Audacity.
there's a new effort called linux multimedia studio. It
doesn't depend on JACK etc., so it could become an
alternative for the not so skilled hobby musician:
