I will second ron's opinion on Presonus, their interfaces break a lot
in my experience. Can't say I have seen nearly the same thing from
Focusrite, but then again I haven't dealt with as many Focusrite
interfaces(I have my Pro40, but few others I know have one) as
compared to Presonus where for a while it seemed like every other
person I worked with was purchasing one, and out of those at least
every other interface broke, if not more.

Same goes for Focusrite, at least for me. My Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 has
one faulty channel so I have to return it and I had to return my Saffire Pro
10 IO twice now because of faulty contacts and/or preamps. Maybe I'm just
unfortunate, my bandmate has two Pro 10 IO's and never had any issues with
it (but then he doesn't use the preamps).
Best,
Jeremy
