I'm currently not at home, but AFAIR I got the same results except
for the nperiods which I have been told
nperiods = 4 for capture

Maybe it doesn't work due to the card only working @ 16bit instead
of 24 or 32?
BTW: Is there a way to tell JACK to use 16bit so JACK doesn't need
to find it by trial and error?
