Chris, I think you should look at Csound again.
AFAICT CsoundVST is
still very much alive, free and open-source.
That is great news! Google can't seem to help me fine it though, and
there is no link to it on csounds.com - do you have any idea where I can
download it from? Maybe it's included in the Csound for windows bundle?
