I'm kinda sick of building stuff from source at
the moment so (64bit) Pure
Dyne looked like the solution to that, but without ardour2, it's just not.
Disappointing.
Ardour installs within seconds from the Synaptic. Version 2.8.2, stable and
in perfect working condition.
And why punish us with grub2? I had a hellish time
trying to configure it
a couple of months ago and gave up and installed legacy grub.
Everything leans towards Grub2 lately. It is Ubuntu's default boot manager
too and since PD is based on Ubuntu...
It offers much more flexibility as well...
AVLinux is another lean audio distro that works very well on 64bit systems.
