You don't hear it as a delay like you would with 100ms, but you can
definitely hear it...
true. recombining signals is a totally different beast, and *waay* more
sensitive. iirc, the delay should be kept well below 3ms to avoid severe
comb filtering (and any amount of delay will do weird things to your top
octave and phase response...)...
