I'm looking for a command line program to edit
out 'dead
air' from a wav file. I want to run it inside a script on a
linux system.
SoX will do that.

Also any program that I can use to modify wav
files,
example, that annoying reverb format.
SoX also has a number of effects that can be applied. It's a very
powerful program which I've used inside a makefile to master an
entire CD.
Good luck....
