I have a laptop with athlon 64 1.8Ghz and couldn't feel any ferformance
difference between timer 1000 Hz vs. lower res. If you keep the lower
resolution of the default 250 Hz Rosegarden will complain, so if you
decide to use Rg it's no question...

Hi everyone!
Short question only: If I compile a realtime kernel, with Ingo's patches, do
I need to set the timer to 1000Hz. Or is it best to do so. My system is about
2 and a half years old athlon 2500+ CPU 1.8gHz.
Kindest regards
Julien
