hi all
i'm looking for a simple app (gui or command line) that can simply
generate
a single midi message. I would like to be able to feed all data into it
and then press the 'send-midi-message-button' ;-)
the goal is to send midi messages to an external hardware audio FX unit
(that has a midi input) to select a specific program on that unit
any suggestions ?

Hi Thijs,
What do you mean by "all data"? And first app that comes to mind is
mididings:

At first I thought, wow that looks pretty difficult to set up but it is
actually quite straightforward, also because the tool is well documented. I
love it, bought a Roland FC50 recently and with the help of mididings I can
virtually send whatever MIDI messages with it.
Best,
Jeremy
