It's about a patch that allows you to switch between CPU scheduling policies
through the /proc interface. eg:
echo sc > /proc/sys/kernel/cpusched/mode
should switch to Con Kolivas' staircase scheduler. Haven't tried it myself but
thought people might be interested.

what i also find intereting is that it offers the user to control various Scheduler
properties like minimum time slice, maximum time slice, etc.. or was that a different
kernel trap story?
i wonder about the effects of different timeslice sizes for rt audio
