I apologise if this has been mailed before but I thought I should share.
Cool thing. Downside is that it requires Flash. Another downside is that
on Linux, at least on my system, the other flash objects linking to more
tests (rhtyhm, pitch etc) don't work. Anyway, the main one is fine.
all of them worked here (linux, rehat, 2.6.18)
this is amazing! and I am so glad I am not tone deaf! so proud of my
lower-than normal pitch recognition :-)
the last audio-visual test is most fun, my score, they go from low
abstraction level to higher abstraction level (order of cognition):
58.0% pitch
67.6% musical memory
71.1% contour discrimination
74.7% musical/visual abstraction
so glad it was proven I can enjoy music on higher levels even with
low-normal physical abilities :-) Not that I didn't enjoy it before but
now I have science supporting me :-)
I wish there were more tools/toys like that to train your low level
skills... anybody knows anything similar (I tried solfege but it's not
working very well for me)
