Reiserfs is a poor choice of filesystem for low latency.
Didn't know that. Will I be alright if I have my audio files on ext3
but the OS on reiserfs?
No, it makes no difference what files are where if there's IO going on -
it can still disable preemption for a long time. It's best to have
everything on ext3. This has the advantage that ext3 is actively
developed and improved while reiser3 is in maintenance mode.
