Reading Berry Gordy's "To Be Loved"
I started digging into Motown

Hey, wenn Du jetzt gesagt hättest "Höre in letzter Zeit viel Motown",
dann hätte ich bestimmt gemeint "Yeah, James Jamerson, der kommt
gut."
Now that I listened again and closer to Jamerson's work some of it
sounds like black magic to me. The simple fact that he plucked all this
with his index finger exclusively makes me wanna cry really.
Makes me think of Dizzy Gillespie's technique of playing the trumpet. As if it
wasn't enough to just play that stuff. No, there's got to be a way to make it
even more impossible.
Burkhard,
you play bass too?
It's my favourite instrument, yes :-)
